Council of Catholic Women (CCW) is the longest standing organized ministry group in our parish, and as such, is involved in many facets of the St. Patrick community. We are an affiliate of the National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW). The purpose of the NCCW is to support, empower, and educate all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership, and service. NCCW programs respond to the needs of the Church and society in today’s world.

CCW members are dedicated to supporting the needs of our parish community and being joyful witnesses of the Gospel. CCW physically assists and supports the numerous parish ministries in various ways, including helping parish teens attend summer camp and recognizing First Communicants and RCIA candidates. CCW members provide monthly activities for seniors, sponsor parish events (such as, Victorian Tea, bake sales), and sing Christmas carols at local assisted living centers. They also raise funds and collect supplies to support our local community, the Diocese of St. Petersburg, and various national and international charities, ministries, and relief efforts.

Membership includes opportunities to attend workshops, conferences, and conventions that focus on spirituality, current topics in the Church, and fellowship with women from other affiliates. CCW sends representatives to Catholic Days at the Capitol to meet with state senators and representatives and to discuss right-to-life issues, such as, abortion and capital punishment.
