The National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW) acts through its affiliated organizations to support, empower, and educate all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership, and service. NCCW programs respond to the needs of the Church and society in the modern world. The Council of Catholic Women is the oldest organized group in our parish and is involved in many aspects of the parish life. The dedicated women of CCW are the heart and soul of the parish who are joyful witnesses of the Gospel. The CCW assists the parish and other ministries through our dedicated service to others. Various fundraisers throughout the year provide contributions to our parish, local community, the Diocese of St. Petersburg, and national/international relief efforts. The CCW sends representatives to Catholic Days at the Capitol to meet with state senators and representatives and to discuss right-to-life issues, such as, abortion and capital punishment. The CCW helps raise monies to send teens to summer camp and to give gifts to First Communicants and RCIA candidates. We attend workshops, conferences, and conventions and exchange ideas with our sister ladies. We also go caroling at Christmas time and visit with the residents of a local nursing home. The CCW meets from September until May on the first Wednesday of every month at 1:00 PM in the Social Hall. You are welcome to attend!
