St Francis of Assisi had a special love for the Christ Child. It is said that his heart “melted with love” at the thought of the Lord of Lords being born as a little child in a poor stable. The first Christmas Crib was begun by St. Francis of Assisi in an Italian town called Greccio in 1223. This was also the first time a Midnight Mass was celebrated on Christmas Eve.
As we prepare to celebrate the Birth of Christ, Fr. Alberto and I, along with the parish staff wish all of you a very Merry and Blessed Christmas.
