The National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW) acts through its affiliated organizations to support, empower, and educate all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership, and service. NCCW programs respond to the needs of the Church and society in the modern world. The Council of Catholic Women is the oldest organized group in our parish and is involved in many aspects of the parish life. The dedicated women of CCW are the heart and soul of the parish who are joyful witnesses of the Gospel. The CCW assists the parish and other ministries through their dedicated service to others. This service exemplifies “Discipleship in Action.” Various fundraisers throughout the year provide contributions to our parish, local community, the Diocese of St. Petersburg, and national/international relief efforts. The CCW sends representatives to Catholic Days at the Capitol to meet with state senators and representatives and to discuss right-to-life issues, such as, abortion and capital punishment. They hold yearly women’s retreats that address the spiritual concerns of today’s Catholic women. The CCW, Circle 1, and Circle 7 present the Patriotic Rosary and Mary’s Way of the Cross during Lent, provide Thanksgiving dinner to our parish seniors, and financially support the High School Youth Ministry in order for them to attend conferences. They also go caroling at Christmas time and visit with the residents of a local nursing home. The CCW meets from September until May on the first Wednesday of every month at 1:00 PM in the Social Hall. You are welcome to attend!
